The Work Placement Experience Programme (WPEP) is a 6-month programme that assists jobseekers in gaining valuable work experience by encouraging Employers to host a work placement in an area of their choice. Eligible jobseekers who wish to gain experience in the chosen area, apply for the position as they would a normally advertised job.
There is no cost to the Employer. The participant receives a weekly DSP payment of 330 euros. If the potential of a job exists within the host organisation, the WPEP placement may also provide the opportunity to secure a future employee. WPEP participants are also eligible for JobsPlus.
The Employer Liaison Officer can assist employers with becoming a WPEP host and if required, provide access to jobseekers who’s work experience requirements match the opportunity being offered.
